Our second stop of the day was to the Ossuary and cemetery. I talked about this place before, but will just briefly explain it. This is a WWI battle area and under the Ossuary 130,000 people are burried. If you look in the windows you can see bones, piles of bones. It is very sad and kind of morbid. The cemetery has around 20,000 burried in it as well. Nearby villages, I think 18 were completely detroyed. we had been to the top before so we took Maddy and Valery on a walk while the rest of the Terry's went into the tower. I set the girls free in the shade and they collected sticks with Cody and had a good time! It was very hot out so we stayed in the shade as much as we could. While the big boys went exploring with some of the kids Melinda and I made lunches to revive us for the rest of our adventures!
