Easter is one of those holidays we aren't so good at. Zach has been gone for most of them in the 11 years we've been married leaving me to carry out traditions and let's just say no matter how hard I try it never seems to work! This year I decided to buy everyone new sunday clothes. This is not easy with 3 very different sized boys! Cody is still in toddler sizes, Ryan is in 8-20 regular and Tyler is in 8-20 husky. Husky sizes don't offer the variety so I knew this would be tricky. Zach wanted green, his favorite color. I managed to find green for him and Tyler. However when they came the greens weren't the same. Oh well! I picked blue for Ryan and Cody since I figured I could get away with a size 4 shirt instead of 4T. Then I lucked out and found a blue and green dress for me! I was so excited and thought wow this is going to work this year! Well the problem with ordering online is the fact you can't try things on. My dress didn't fit and they were out of stock so I couldn't even get another size, Cody's shirt was much bigger on him than I thought, but still workable and Tyler's tie was not striped like the others. A small oversight when ordering!
So fast forward to Spring break. I wanted to go downtown to shop for an outfit for me, but of course Zach avoids this at all costs! Finally Friday he agreed, but hello it was Good Friday, nothing was open! Saturday we went to the Gartenschau down by the walk platz so afterwards I convinced everyone to try one more time. I found a cute skirt and a blue shirt that I thought would go nicely. Well once home I realized the blues weren't the same at all, but oh well! Saturday night Zach asks what we are supposed to do for Easter. I said well hide the eggs of course and put the baskets out! He wasn't excited. The pain in his lower back was back and really making him miserable, but he helped. Sunday morning was...........well interesting. Zach's back locked up to where he couldn't get out of bed. So finally the boys decided to find eggs without him. Cody didn't get why we were finding eggs, he just wanted to eat the candy in his basket. It was all quite caotic! Zach decided (once he was able to move) to go to the ER. So he left! Finally it was time to get ready for church. Cody put up his usual fight, Ryan and Tyler fought over who was showering first. It was so my fun! I decided to call over to the ER to see if Zach was finishing up or needed anything. They wouldn't give me any info.
I was able to get this one picture before church. It is blurry and the kids weren't thrilled, but I got one! Zach made it to church, well made us late to church. They gave him a 4th set of meds this time serious stuff, Tylenol 3 and Vallium (sp?). Of course more stuff he can't take at work and he was still not able to walk normal or anything because it just dulled the pain. So that was our exciting Easter! Some day we may get better at this holiday, but this year wasn't it for us!

You forgot to add that once you got to church you took care of the Terry children the entire time and then helped load them all into the car afterwards!!! I don't know how you do it, but you at least made my Easter bareable! I hope Zack's back is feeling better. Did he get into Matt yet? I thought you guys looked really cute!
