The Barefoot Trail!
I read about this trail you do barefoot in the base paper a while back and have wanted to go on it since. Saturday we drove up with our friends the Burns family. The drive was nice going through all the villages and even though it was an hour, it didn't seem like it. The trail is 3 and half kilometers and I thought it was a nice walk. There were some areas that weren't so theraputic on the feet, but the kids had fun. My favorite was the sand espcially after walking on the bark! Cody wouldn't walk through the mud or water so I had to carry him, but the rest he did okay. There were little balance beams and other obstacle courses as the boys like to call them. Ryan and Trevan ran pretty far ahead. Mason had a few falls in the mud slicks on the path so he was by far the dirtiest! Is that a word? Anyway it was fun, nice weather and a nice picnic lunch to end the adventure. Unfortunately our camera was having battery issues so we didn't get near as many pictures as we wanted, but enough to share with family and friends. It's definately something I would go do again! Of course it won't be as much fun without the Burns family, they are leaving us soon. We are happy we have been able to have so many fun little adventures with them this summer!

Ok, Marie You make us "Home sick" to be there with you guys! :) Jody
That looks like a fun place, I'll have to find out the location so I can try it out. Do you think it would be good for next years summer outings?
How fun, I wish we'd known about it...the kids would've loved that!
