First day of School!!!!

Tyler and Ryan. It was a bit chilly so the new shirts that they have waited so long to wear are covered! Maybe after school I can get a shot.
Ryan being very silly and all pumped up for school! And Tyler below, not cooperating because "Mom I am too old for this!" Sorry Tyler it's for the blog so hush!

Okay so I am not sure who was more excited about today, the boys or me! Cody and I were up at 6am, made blueberry muffins and made sure Tyler and Ryan's backpacks were ready to go. Tyler surfaced at about 6:30 and quickly put on his first day shirt that he has been dying to wear! Ryan needed a little more help waking up. He is not a morning person at all so I have gotten used to it....sort of. I finally decided at 7:10 he had to get moving. He woke up fairly happy, but took a while before he would eat or get dressed. He also put on his new clothes and that really set the mood. Before I knew it both boys were dressed with backpacks and shoes on and it was only 7:55. Unfortunately school starts at 8:30 and the walk is not 30 minutes. So we had to sit and wait. I got them their pin numbers for lunch, which I now see Ryan's paper on the desk so guess I will personally put it in his bag tomorrow! I took them out front for pictures which Tyler was not thrilled about. We walked to school and Tyler ran off without saying goodbye or anything. He's just too old for that now. Ryan's teacher was not out yet so we waited with some of the other kids he knew from last year. He was very nervous about being in the german enrichment class, but I kept telling him it would be ok. Once his teacher came out and he joined the line he was good to go. Cody had fun playing with some of the other kids not going to school and happily walked, welll almost ran the whole way home! He has thoroughly enjoyed having the house, more importantly Wii Sports to himself! He has goen golfing, blowling, played tennis and now baseball! Guess next week will be a big shock when he has to go to school at 12:15 each afternoon!
