The boys all shared a bed and although they were not thrilled to have me taking pictures, I did anyway. Our hotel room had two huge beds with 6 pillows on each! And the mattresses were actually comfortable! Usually a double bed is two twins pushed together so there is a gap in the middle. Not this time! We got a great night of sleep after all the driving! 
Finding hotels for 5 people is next to impossible so I always put in 2 adults and 2 children. It is not cheap to travel in Europe when you have to pay in euros and the exchange rate is so bad, but we managed to find a hotel that would let us get one room for 4 people. I was even shocked that it had a pool. Unfortunately a pipe had burst so the pool was closed. The kids were very dissapointed. The hotel was VERY nice and I would reccomend it to anyone going to Salzburg! When I checked us in the ladies were so nice and offered to have someone come get our luggage since it was so late in the evening, but I told her we were fine. The free breakfast was excellent! Breakfast here is also not what we typical Americans think of, but this hotel had everything you can think of! I am always nervous though about the kids becuase everything is so breakable! Not disposable plates or plastic silverware! Even the napkins were cloth! I ate waffles both mornings that were so delicious! I want the recipe. We also enjoyed a spread of fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, pastries, cereal, really anything you can think of! So real beds and a real breakfast made this trip excellent in itself!
